Program:

Our May ASNT Colorado meeting will be a tour of the Evraz Rocky Mountain Steel (A DIVISION OF EVRAZ INC. NA ) mill in Pueblo Colorado. Our host and guide will be Mr. Brian K. Wood, General Supervisor Quality Seamless Mill. The mill produces rails (railroad track) and welded pipe and uses nondestructive testing to assure Serviceability.

Working hours at the mill as such that we will meet at the mill at 2:00 PM (afternoon) for the tour. Following the tour, we will meet at a local restaurant for dinner and adjourn from there. The tour is open to both members and guests, so plan now!

Directions to Evraz Rocky Mountain Steel (ERMS):

Traveling south on I-25, take exit 96, Indiana Avenue. Turn left at the first cross street, Evans Ave. Turn left at the first stop sign, Indiana Ave. Travel under the freeway into the main gate of ERMS. Park in the lot on the left. We will meet there at 2:00 PM, sign in and obtain safety equipment at Guard Headquarters. No photography of any kind will be allowed during the tour.

Dinner will be at LaTronica’s Restaurant, 1143 E. Abriendo Ave., directly following the tour. Take I- 25 north from ERMS to Central Ave. At top of off ramp, turn left. Turn right at stop sign onto Abriendo Ave. Follow Abriendo to Mesa Ave. LaTronica’s is at the corner of Abriendo and Mesa (parking lot is across the street from restaurant). We will order from the menu.
