Advancements in Railroad Equipment Inspections

Transportation Technology Center, Inc (TTCI)
Preliminary Information:
Opportunity to view NDT in action. Various programs of TTCI will be discussed and a system for nondestructive inspection or rail wheels, while a train is in motion, will be demonstrated.
TENTATIVE PLAN:
The group will meet at TTCI at 11:00 AM
An introduction and safety briefing will be presented prior to lunch.
Lunch will be provided on-site by TTCI.
TTCI mission and some programs will be reviewed, included the automated (ultrasonic) wheel inspection system.
The group will be taken to the field site for a view of the wheel inspection system in operation.
Debriefing and questions will follow the tour.
Completion will be at 3:00 PM

The group will be limited to 30 visitors. Reservations will be on a first come, first served basis, SO - OOOO. Make your reservations early as this is a once in a lifetime event.

The TTCI site is located approximately 30 MILES FROM PUEBLO (1 hour)
Pueblo is approximately 110 miles south of Denver (2 hours)
Take I-25 South to Pueblo
Take Highway US50 West to the Pueblo Airport (TTCI) exit.
Turn left under the highway and take the first right toward the airport (CR-3)
Continue past the airport and warehouse / terminals. A small sign will state "to TTCI"
Continue on this road for approximately 30 miles to the entrance to TTCI.
(There are two forks in the road one under construction and one further on take the left fork and continue left around the curve at the next T in the road)
