About the Speaker:

Mr. Bryan Sanbongi is a Senior Scientist in the Nondestructive Evaluation Branch of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), located at the Wright – Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio. The AFRL, NDE branch has responsibility for advanced NDE technology and systems that are applicable to current and future Air Force challenges. This laboratory has a long history as a leader in research, development and application of NDE technologies. Bryan has a shorter, but significant history of involvement in NDE technology with assignments at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City; McClellan, AFB, Sacramento, CA and AFRL at Wright –Patterson, AFB. His most recent responsibilities have included development of a new ultrasonic inspection system and advanced eddy current inspection methods for application to gas turbine engine components inspection, acceptance and life-extension.
